Rectifier – great young indie rock band from Hull
Octopus
Octopus are a three piece grunge band based in the underbelly of Hull.
After playing together for nearly 10 months they have created something truly unique that nobody should miss out on. They manage to meld bass, drums, and guitars together while drawing influences from modern blues, and 90’s grunge. Citing Jack White, Wolfmother, Nirvana and Pearl Jam as influences on their sound. With lyrics focusing on the darker sides of life, and the accompanying music being based around huge riffs and massive drums.
Octopus truly are a force to be reckoned with.

Harrison Rimmer
The up lifting sounds of Bruce Springsteen sung similarly to Alex Band from The Calling all combined with the power and noise of Nirvana.- York Calling.
