Following two sell-out productions in its short existence, ApposArt Theatre Company returns to the stage with its first 2017 production, A Crooked Star. A world premiere of the first Hull production ever to be streamed internationally. Combining theatre, cinema and live music, there is definitely something for everybody to enjoy!

Successful film actor, Alfie Brooks has returned home to Hull to embark on his debut theatrical role, questionably turning down London and Broadway in the process. Before he arrives, rumours arise about his love-life and the media is relentless in broadcasting the dark details of Alfie’s past, regardless of if it’s true or not. Apart from the support of his secret girlfriend, it’s not the homecoming he anticipated, especially given his inability to control his drinking. Instead, his harrowing past and uncertain future seem to be out to get him in the worst possible way.

Based on real experiences, A Crooked Star promises to take you on an emotional journey and an evening full of blood, sweat and tears, as well as laugh-out-loud moments and heart-warming happiness. Partnered with Humber Film, it is a chance to support two thriving local companies. EARLY BOOKING IS ADVISED!

This production is in aid of Survivors UK, a male sexual abuse charity and takes place during ‘Male Sexual Abuse awareness week’
